What “always-on” has to mean to be useful
The phrase is easy to print and hard to earn. In practice it needs five concrete properties, and a hosted agent that misses any of them still leaves you babysitting a terminal.
It does not live on your laptop
Each instance runs in managed cloud infrastructure inside its own LXD Linux container, with dedicated CPU, RAM and storage. Sleeping your machine does not stop it.
It has a browser of its own
A cloud Chrome session runs alongside the agent and can be shared between you and it, so web work does not depend on a browser window you left open.
It keeps its environment
Runtime packages and workflow setup can survive restarts instead of being lost with a disposable session, so the assistant you configured is the one you come back to.
It is reachable from where you already are
Telegram for the daily loop, a web console for managing the instance and selecting Hermes-AI. No separate app to install.
It is isolated per tenant
The isolation boundary is your own container, not a shared conversation on a multi-tenant bot backend. Privacy and security posture is documented on the how-it-works and privacy pages.
Where the honest limits are
Cloud hosting is not an AgentPod-only property, and this page does not claim it is. Model usage and runtime limits still apply on every plan. An agent left running unattended is bounded by the permissions you granted it, which is a design decision you make, not a guarantee we can make for you. And a long-lived agent is only as good as the instructions it keeps — expect to supervise the first few consequential tasks.
Managed hosting versus running it yourself
You can rent a VPS and assemble the runtime, the browser, the model routing and the messaging bridge yourself. That is a legitimate choice with a real cost in your own time. AgentPod is the managed version of the same outcome: provisioning is one command and the infrastructure layer is somebody else's job.
